“BillionBricks”, a non-profit in Singapore, created a weather proof tent to shelter homeless and disaster-displaced families throughout the year. In the winter, the tent’s reflective skin traps body heat. In the summer, it reverses to reflect the sun and stay cool. It can fit a family of five and it can be set up in 15 minutes (without tools). “BillionBricks” plans to send 1000 tents to South Asia by the end of the year. This tent could be yours for $100.
